The WR Model was first
introduced in 1941 as a successor for the WLDR model for which production
stopped at the end of the 1941 year. The HD Factory only has a record
of 36 WR models produced for the year 1941.
Note that the pictures show what is often refered to as a "WRTT model". In reality, all WR models delivered by the factory were setup as seen in this brochure, racers then tuned them to their needs [flat track etc...] until 1949. The "WRTT" and "WD Dirt Track" designation and setups were not used or available as factory setups until 1949. |
